Ch 82: Someone From The Education Bureau Came
Smart people know that the more someone is uneasy, the more they talk. Gu Yuanzhou is usually so economical with words; the fact that he’s saying so much now is enough to confirm it.
Shen Mingyue didn’t speak; she just stared at Gu Yuanzhou.
Gu Yuanzhou sighed, turned his head, and didn’t want to explain anymore. He always felt that the more he explained, the worse it became.

“When will the people from the Education Bureau come?”
Seeing Shen Mingyue so calm, the Vice Principal also gained confidence in her. “This afternoon.”
“Vice Principal Huang, you hired me. I absolutely won’t bring you shame. When the people from the Education Bureau come to investigate, I will solve this matter myself.”
The Vice Principal nodded. She really hadn’t misjudged her. Shen Mingyue’s confidence matched her ability. Even if the people from the Education Bureau came, she hadn’t gotten her job through the back door.
Their school has its own set of standards for recruiting teachers. In this critical time, they naturally have to handle things critically. Could it be that they can’t find a teacher, so the students don’t need to learn English?
The Education Bureau’s investigation is to prevent them from showing favoritism and arbitrarily finding someone to fill the position, which would mislead the students.
If they see that Shen Mingyue truly has the ability, they won’t insist on the rules. They can always have her fill out the paperwork later.

Shen Mingyue nodded and then went out to teach her class.

Zhou Xiaofei had been waiting for Shen Mingyue to suffer a setback, but unexpectedly, she was as carefree as ever, sitting in the office drinking water, looking extremely relaxed.
“Teacher Shen, did the people from the Education Bureau leave? Is everything resolved?”
