The next day, Jiang Chu got up early in the morning and started choosing from her wardrobe.

Her taste in clothing was vastly different from that of the original host.

Jiang Chu usually kept a low profile in her daily life and only became high-profile when she had to show her abilities.

It couldn’t be helped, for it had become a habit. For safety and self-protection, one had to keep a low profile, and being high-profile in her actions was due to her abilities. She wanted to be more discreet but just couldn’t.

In terms of clothing, Jiang Chu preferred more masculine colors, such as gray, brown, dark blue, black, and white.

But the original host was different; she was bold and charming, like a ball of fire, and her clothes were often bright and eye-catching.

Usually, Jiang Chu would dress according to her own preferences, but today, she wanted to look dazzling.

After changing her clothes, Jiang Chu left the room.

“Miss, where are you going?” Hua Lan asked loudly.

“Going to the academy.”

Jiang Chu left behind these three words and walked away, leaving Hua Lan standing in place, looking worried.

Going to the academy. . . . . .

It had been a month since Miss had been to Yuxiao Academy after the accident. She had been a prominent figure in the academy, and after the accident, everyone knew about her.

In the city, there had been a lot of malicious gossip about her. What would it be like in the academy?

This trip would likely be filled with turbulence.

Jiang Chu got out of the carriage and stood at the entrance of Yuxiao Academy, looking at the four characters of its name.

“Isn’t that Jiang Chu?”

“Ah, why is she back?”

“She must be here to drop out.”

“What a pity.”

“How dare she come back? If it were me, I wouldn’t dare show my face.”

“What’s so pitiful about her? Greed leads to disaster. She was already strong, but she had to change her skills. Now she’s suffered the consequences.”

“That’s right, she deserves it.”

In just a moment, people noticed her, and several began whispering in front of her.

Jiang Chu didn’t even look at those people and walked into the Martial College relying on her memory.

“Chu Chu, you’re here!”

At this time, the students were usually practicing basic punches and kicks in the great martial hall, and there were already quite a few students warming up.

Yue Sha was talking to her friends when she suddenly heard that Jiang Chu had arrived. She turned her head to look and walked over when she saw her.

Jiang Chu glanced at her and responded with a “Hmm,” asking, “Where is Master Meng?”

Master Meng was one of her teachers and also one of the strongest in the Martial College.

“He hasn’t come yet, but he should be here soon,” Yue Sha said, looking sympathetically at Jiang Chu. “Chu Chu, are you here to drop out?”

“I came to retrieve my things,” Jiang Chu replied, intending to go upstairs.

“Ah, Chu Chu, you don’t have to go up.”

Yue Sha stopped her, looking hesitant but with a gleam of schadenfreude in her eyes. “Your things, everyone thought you wouldn’t come back, so they were thrown away.”

Jiang Chu stopped, turned to look at her, and asked, “Who threw them away?”

Yue Sha pursed her lips but did not answer.

“Haha, who else could it be? It was Yue Sha who threw them away.”

A male classmate with a loud voice joined in, and a group of students began to laugh.

“That’s right, Yue Sha threw them away quicker than anyone.”

“Throw them away, what’s the use? Your martial arts are gone, so those things are useless.”

“Why keep them? Are they an eyesore?”

Jiang Chu looked at Yue Sha, “You threw them away?”

“. . . . . .Yes, I threw them away, so what? You’ve been away from the academy for a month. Who knew you would come back for them?”

Yue Sha finally dropped her gentle facade and laughed scornfully at Jiang Chu.

“Alright.”

Jiang Chu nodded and then went upstairs.

After a while, she came down with a cloth bag.

Yue Sha was about to mock her but realized the cloth bag looked familiar.

“Jiang Chu, what are you doing?”

She yelled and wanted to go over, but Jiang Chu was quicker.

She carried the bag out the door and went to the lake.

“Jiang Chu! Stop, give me back my bag, what are you doing?”

Yue Sha caught up and reached out to snatch the bag, but Jiang Chu had already thrown it into the lake one step ahead.

The students behind had already let out a shout.

“Jiang Chu! Are you crazy?” Yue Sha screamed angrily, “That’s my stuff, why did you throw it away? You owe me!”

“Why I threw yours is why you threw mine.”

Jiang Chu grinned, “Are you mad? It’s right to be mad, next time don’t be so cheap with your hands, otherwise, I don’t know what else of yours I might throw.”

“You’re too much, I’m going to tell Master Meng, you――”

“What are you arguing about!”

A stern shout came from behind, and Jiang Chu and Yue Sha both turned their heads to see Master Meng approaching them quickly, holding a wooden sword.

Master Meng’s face looked somewhat complex when he saw Jiang Chu, “Why are you here?”

“I came to retrieve my things, but Yue Sha threw them away without my permission. Coming without going is impolite, so I returned the favor. I’m sorry, Master Meng, I disturbed the order of the Martial College, but you were not here, and teaching had not yet begun, so my fault is lighter. I hope you can forgive me.”

Jiang Chu bowed to Master Meng and took the initiative to speak.

The people around looked at Jiang Chu as if they had seen a ghost――

A setback had changed her character so much!

The old Jiang Chu never apologized, and now she apologized before anyone accused her, making it hard for people to find fault.

“How’s your body?” Master Meng did not mention the previous incident, instead asking about Jiang Chu’s condition.

Everyone around, including Yue Sha, pricked their ears to hear what Jiang Chu would say.

“My body is quite healthy, thank you for your concern, Master Meng.” Jiang Chu smiled, “But I might not be able to stay in the Martial College anymore.”

A sigh came from the crowd, uncertain if it was regret or ridicule.

Yue Sha pursed her lips, suppressing her laughter.

Once it was confirmed that Jiang Chu’s martial arts were ruined, she felt relieved. Otherwise, she would not easily forgive herself for this offense.

Before, she had been servile to Jiang Chu. If Jiang Chu had remained a genius who could help her, her efforts would have been worthwhile. But since Jiang Chu had foolishly ruined her martial arts, the presence of such a person was a disgrace, reminding everyone of her fawning over a failure.

“Never mind, in that case, return the academy badge to me.”

Master Meng sighed and reached out his hand.

He was disappointed in Jiang Chu, his once-promising student who had inexplicably gone astray and made him the laughingstock among the masters.

He didn’t want to say anything more at this point.

“Master Meng, the academy badge, I cannot return it yet,” Jiang Chu said.

“Why? If you’re dropping out, you can’t keep this badge.” Master Meng frowned.
